General Post on Piga Software Status
I figure this would help people understand our current status. Piga has slowed down quite a bit since the start of this forum over a year ago. Last years School-work was tiresome, and as you can probably tell has slowed us down until about now. Summer has also shown us problems, the fact that Graham lost his laptop for a week and a half, and I am having over-heating problems on my computer. We have a good opportunity at the moment however to get some accomplishments done. The last little while has been a good learning experience for me and Graham. I have been getting used to the Gambas 2.5.0 interface, as well as finally doing some real work on Graham's engines. Graham has been doing some good research on concepts such as SDL and OpenGL rendering. Another great achievements was that we finally have Global variables in our projects, which is a great leap for us. We are trying to keep ourselves busy and hopefully we will have a few new things available by September. No guarantees, this is a volunteer amateur group after all, so we a doing this for fun and not on a deadline.
