Source Code Discussion
Talk about the Source Code for Free Empires Here.

Graham- 05-29-2007

Okay lets get the source code discussion going.

klingoncowboy4- 05-29-2007

We can't discuss what we can't see

PhosPhoton- 05-31-2007

Source Code? Where?? :?

klingoncowboy4- 05-31-2007

I don't think that there will be much progress until the second week of June. We are currently in school finals rush and neither Graham nor Hamish have had time to work on Free Empires Much. I would say that once they start working on things a bit Graham should clear things up and release the source code thus far.

I would say that once they start working on things a bit Graham should clear things up and release the source code thus far. That is correct. I can divulge what I will be cleaning up 1. Map scrolling (looks ugly right now!) 2. FE encyclopedia (Finish writing all half written stuff) 3. Make sure all spelling is correct (LOL) Sorry about the wait but I'm drowning in work! :x

2. FE encyclopedia (Finish writing all half written stuff) :?: What do you mean

Worked on "cleaning up" source code today.
Talk about the Source Code for Free Empires Here. I would like to announce that today I did a big step to "cleaning up" the FE source code so it can be released. I have nearly perfected across map exploration. Once this is done there is very little stopping me from releasing it for all to look at and improve. 8)

... i'm itching to get a look 8)

GOOD NEWS!
Good news! I'm almost done. I have nearly perfected map scrolling! It probably will be out next weekend if all goes well. (The source that is!)

Nice. Sorry for not posting lately, I just got a job so I have to cut back on the Internet

klingoncowboy4- 06-10-2007

no prob

PhosPhoton- 06-11-2007

I'm sorry this is a bit OT: I have a bit of a problem my Ubuntu computer randomly changed its maximum available resolution to 800x600 and I dunno how to get it back without screwing up the whole system. I just upgraded to Feisty Fawn the other day. And if I'm gonna be looking at the source code I'll need a higher resolution or its all going to be squashed up.

Hamish- 06-11-2007

Interesting Problem PhosPhoton, but I don't think it deserves a yuck Kc4, it is just 800x600, its not that bad. Free Empires might soon be mostly developed in 800x600.

PhosPhoton- 06-11-2007

Yes but I usually work on source code at a nice 1280x1024 so I can see lots of it at the same time!
