Two Questions 1. The link to download the source code is broken. How am I supposed to download Free Empires?
2. I am very fond of Age of Empires, and I would like to contribute. I am not a good programmer (all I know is a small bit of C#), but I think I can help you with sound files (MP3, WAV, or OGG format) and some graphics.
And I've beentrying to get AOE on my Ubuntu computer smoothly for a long time. It'd be nice to have something native to Linux.

OGG is the best format
This is concerning that the link is broken
I fixed the Wiki. I will get Graham to fix the Piga and Free Empires sites.

Actually programmers would be of less help to us, partly due to me being a little bit of a control freak when it comes to development (I do not mind people modifying my code though). I do believe that we can get a good game engine started once SR 3.0 is done. Graphics and multimedia would be great.

When is SR 3 coming out?
I still cant get it to work:
Error when Installing:
gzip: stdin: decompression OK, trailing garbage ignored
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

When is SR 3 coming out?
I am like John Carmack and 3D Realms, it will be out "When it is done". I had posted in February that I had hoped to have released it by the end of May but that seems unlikely now as I still have not gotten access to the stuff I need to build the SDL rendering. Parts of the SR 3.0 engine (Tech Demos) will be released once I have a few more hacker "epiphanies" in which I can crush the few remaining critical bugs. I wish I could be more helpful but I can't be more specific. :( Wow, tis almost a year since I started SR 1.0. I just wish I could be doing more work on FE.
It would be helpful if any of you know of an math equation that makes a number into it's closest equivalent that is divisible by 48.

The tarball is corrupted on the server. Dont now why or how.
And no, I can not upload a new copy. My internet connection is to bad. :x

xantan51, you want to help? Well if you could do this it would really help us:
Could you find us a File Host that: (Bold means it is Vital)
1. Is completely Free, I have no income to pay for it.
2. Stores files Indefinitely, not one that deletes the file after a certain amount of time after last download.
3. Should not have flashy graphics or GUI. I would prefer something simple that does not take up to much bandwidth.
4. It would be best if it were an FTP server, but something else will do.
IF anyone can find me one I would be grateful. It does not seem that we can use FileCrunch anymore.

One that I like quite a bit is:
http://www.fileups.com/
The only problem is that you can only store files below 25 MB, and I'm not sure if the bandwidth requirement is up to par with what you want.
The graphics are not extremely flashy, but it is still a graphical user interface.
Usually, when I store files, I usually do so through my ownwebsite.
If you wish, I can host some files for you.

if the number were X:
X/48
-round to nearest integer-
multiply by 48
